Jana Babies
The inspiration for this picture came from a high school friend who wanted a painting that looked like the 70’s. The Pan-African colors of Juneteenth were used to bring the past into the present.  The discarded cassette tape was used to create the water gushing out of a splash poor while her “Jana Babies” (grands)  played in the water.
